What is this casting kit???

This was all found together in a box from an estate. Any idea?? Not sure if this is somebody's frankenstein project or actually parts from a known kit.

Crankcase looks like a Wall, probably the 15cc 4-stroke but might be the 30cc. Elbow and timing bracket castings also there



Second photo look slike it used a shaft with cams on to activate the rockers so maybe a horizontal or could have been vertical but not related to the crankcase.

Third photo an opposed twin with no stagger of the cylinders or a Vee layout would seem likely

Thanks. Yep definitely some Wall parts in there. The opposed piston/connecting rods do fit the cylinder jug. The rocker arms on the jug are very strange and there is a second pair of rocker arm castings, the only way I can figure out how they could work is if there was a pushrod moving inside another hollow pushrod, some ww1 airplanes worked like that.

I think they are more likely to be operated by a revolving side shaft geared at right angles to the crankshaft. At the head end of the shaft would be the two cams that run against the convex bits on the end of the rocker arms. That is why one rocker are is longer than the other so they don't overlap.

The Wall Wizard is his oppose dtwin but that has offset cylinders and straight conrods so that can be counted out.

I see what you are saying about the cam but there is no bracket to hold a vertical camshaft, whatever it is, it was strange.

The way the rocker bracket overhangs the head could suggest that is a cylinder liner and the outer air or watercooled sleeve may have had the shaft guide attached.
