In metalwork the best we can do is to continue to even out the hills and valleys. I think Rake posted a photo in another thread of a surface roughness gage of the visual kind for reference.

Metal polishing begins where grinding and lapping leaves off. There is no filler, just a microscopic smearing of the surface metal. As I said earlier, an Ra4 finish is where you start seeing yourself in a mirror like finish.

Teeth are a whole nuther ballgame.

I had grits once when on a business trip to Huntsville. I'd rather eat Clover compound. It tastes better and cleans my teeth instead of sticking to them.

You gotta melt some cheddar cheese into the grits to make'm yum yum good.
