A quick question, can I soft solder stainless shaft to the counter weights I have made in plain mill steel?

thanks
Jim

You might have some trouble with the stainless. Acid flux is needed when soldering that stuff. Don't even bother if it a rosin based flux. Then you'll have to clean it really well so the plain steel doens't turn to rust from left over flux.

Your better off silver soldering in my opinion.

Thanks, was not sure about soft solder or silver solder. Since I have silver solder here will use it.

thanks again
Jim
