Has anyone seen this tramming system? I received the two pieces perhaps 15 years ago. The idea is to place the yellow bridge on the mill table. It consists of a precision ground top and bottom legs. The black portion has a morse taper and is fitted to the spindle. The milling head is lowered to the top of the yellow bridge until it touches. The milling head is then loosened with the black piece and bridge in contact and then tightened. It works quite well. Both pieces are beautifully machined.

I did not understand the use of it... can anyone explain?

Thanks,

The idea of the larger ez-tram unit is to provide a dead flat surface to swing an indicator across.

The nano-tram unit, I understand, is designed to have the round bit screw into the spindle of the Sherline (or Taig) headstock. You then loosen the headstock, put the square (yellow) platform on your mill table and lower the head onto it, aligning the head that way.

Ah... Ok!

I understand now...

Thank you!

Alexandre
