just wondering if anyone can tell me what the crankshafts in the very old stationary engines ie lister and so on would of been made from , i have a large old crankshaft out of a twin cylinder ( very old but dont know what) engine and i am wondering if it is worth keeping to recycle into model engine parts or if i would be better off getting rid of it .i think it would be fairly hard stuff but what????
