I know this one is not a stock built engine, but I thought some of you might enjoy seeing a project I did for a collector, sometime back. "Grumpy" purchased a Reeves Double Tangye on Ebay. The photos showed a rough little engine, but when it arrived, it became obvious that this poor engine had been sorely abused from the very beginning of its build.

There were misalignments and mismatches galore and it was one very ugly piece of work. The poor sod could barely run at all. It took a while, but the engine began to improve as I made a number of repairs and added a few extras of my own design. When finished, I think it turned out to be a pretty nice collector piece and it certainly did run well.

"Grumpy's Toy" can be seen at http://www.cedesign.net/grumpy-toy . Be sure to click on the photos for a larger view of each. I hope you'll enjoy the visit.
