Mounting a follow rest on my 9" Hercus- where does it go?

I've been using my big old Hercus for a while now, but I still haven't figured out how to attach the follow rest. Here are some pictures of it:





I'm pretty sure it bolts onto the carriage, but I just can't figure out where.

Well based on the "fact" that the Hercus is a SB clone....or the other way around....which ever :

It mounts either side of the saddle. About mid span of the saddle on the side you will see two bolt holes.

My SB follower rest looks JUST like it.

Look at the first post on the second page of this thread....about the fifth picture down showing a photo taken of the TS side of the saddle.

The two threaded holes about mid span are the ones you should be looking for.

It appears from your photo library you have a taper attachment also. Sweet.
