Melting crankshafts

Hi everyone

My pile of scrap cast iron was getting low so I dismantled some briggs and stratton engines and melted down the crankshafts, have a look at the video to see how well it went. https://youtu.be/PVIwU7at7mw

Hi

I am impressed with the speed of your melt. What fuel are you using and are you using a blower?

Are you using propane. If so what pressure. BBQ regulator?

Mark T I am using waste oil with a little diesel to thin it down and I am using a vacuum cleaner as a blower. Have a look at my video this shows the whole set up https://youtu.be/VgiqURs0TQg

HerbieV I start the furnace with propane and then switch over to waste oil.
