Hi all.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all.
I have a little problem(I hope)
I have 1phase 16 amp in my shop.
My new/old mill have a 220v 3phase 3.6amp.2 speed motor. Do you see any problem to use a inverter to drive the mill?
Will the inverter shown in the link below do the job. (I will use: input 220v 1phase and 220v 3phase output.

That will draw 3.6 x 3^0.5 = 6.23A for a straight 220 single phase to 220 three phase. Assuming 90% efficiency in the inverter then 6.92A - call it 7 you are well safe on 16A supply.

Regards,
Ken
