I have everything you need to do your own sand casting at home. I use to have a lot of fun doing casting but I have not made any in 8 years.
I have casting sand, 2 different shape flasks for casting parts, everything to melt and pour zinc and about 300 lbs of zinc ingots.
You can melt any metal you like as long as it will melt and pour at or below 1800 deg F.
It takes me about 30 to 40 minutes to melt the zinc. While it is melting I make my sand casting mold. Then the zinc is ready to flux and pour. The mold will be ready to open in about 10 minutes.
