I just can't figure it out. Rather than have the long address when one posts a link, how do you change that to the word here or any other word? ???

That's a code thing Kenny

It would go like this:

[u r l= h t t p :// w w w . the url .com ] Here [/url]

Without the spaces. The word Here will show, but clicking it will send the
user to the URL.

Ahhh, so that's how you do that! Very cool.:)

On this forum, I wouldn't worry about clicking on any link put up by a regular poster. If I'm on an unfamiliar site and am worried that a word link like that may take me to some nefarious site, do I right click/properties to look at the full link?

edit: Never mind I just tried it on your "Here" link and it worked.
 
That is true DB. I do the right click think too, just to see.
