hey I am having some issues with some of the parts I'm trying to put some constraints on in inventors assemblies. I have drew up and "re-designed" my entire rear end of my Traxxas E-Maxx. However I am having a few issues when i made the shocks and i can't exactly get the shocks to fuction, their only good visually. Here is a picture of what I am creating, but i want to be able to animate the shocks and suspension arms moving. I cannot get the springs to stay in line with the cylinders, i can constrian them to both ends of the shock, but not around the cylinders diameter, also i was having trouble with making the spring with compression characteristics, I could not figure out the formulas.

I been wanting to try Inventor out, how do you like it?

Hey thanks for the vid, i will try it out next time i get the chance. But for me, I love inventor, I am in vocational school for machine trades and i use this with SurfCam and i create CNC programs to run these parts ive designed in the drawings you see above. Once you learn about all of the advanced commands in inventor you can make just about anything.
