Hi all.
I'm a 're-born' model engineer living in West Cork, Ireland.
Now retired, I had a 5 year apprenticeship back in the mists of time, in the UK, and then took to electronics instead.
(And a bit of software)
But now I've reformed my ways, and have started on a Tubal Cain 'Henry' oscillating engine, from castings by Brunell.
Both my father, who built a Seal 30cc engine amongst others, and my step father, who was heavily into steam, both flash-steam hydroplanes and traction engines, were my examples in those days.
Sadly all their workshop equipment went in different directions, none of it in mine.
So starting again tools-wise.
Have an Axminster (Chinese) lathe, and an Emco mill bought from a friend.

Hope to emulate some of you guys one day.

Greetings from Wicklow - best of luck with the 'Henry' - look forward to seeing it progress.

Many thanks for all the welcomes.
Henry is progressing slowly.
Currently machining the port block, but what a pain starting from a casting.
Could have done a better job, quicker, from stock.
But.... Live and learn :)
