hello all,
i'm new. i have a Logan 922 that i recently bought at auction. I've got a small knee mill that i may be able to buy.

my day job is risk management and mitigation. I have some experience moving large heavy things.

i have a background in wood working.

and i love ebay and craig's list.

i'm here to build a sterling engine that runs a fan. then we'll see where else i want to go with model engines.

i'll help where i can, and thank you all for the help you may give me.

thanx
dave

Dave welcome to the forum :
Sounds like you have access to some nice older machines.
IIRC Village Press steam and sterling book one have plans for a sterling fan. And there may be some available for download as well.
May I suggest you try your hand a at a couple of simple steam/air engines to get some experience under your belt.
Yes we are here to help.

Welcome Dave,

Jerry Howell's site offers a couple of fan plans also one smaller and one larger. Not free but reasonable. You can check those out at www.jerry-howell.com.

As Tin said, a few simpler models first might be a good idea.

Regards,

Bill
