What material should I use for a small hit and miss engine and how thick should it be???

Hit and miss engines run fairly cool because of the ambient temperature air they pump through the cylinder during the "miss" cycle. You can safely get by using .030" thick automotive waterpump /general purpose gasket material that you can buy by the sheet or roll at auto supply stores.---Brian

Thanks for the link Steve. I knew that Teflon works well, I just never used it because I found that the "waterpump/general purpose" gasket works well for me, and I didn't know where to get the Teflon.---Brian
