Hi all,

This week I was wacthing some videos of engines working, and one of them was explaining too, how cvt transmission works. So i was thinking. This kynd of system in scale could be very cool to make one.
Reading about it, i found two types, with electronic control and totally mechanical.
For me, using electronics is very easy the project the relation control.

About the mechanical system, thats my objective, I think it works with some kind of centrifugal device.
Anyone here, knows this system?

tks,

Have a look at these two sites. Bosch has a very good explanatory clip on how it works. Nothing centrifugal.
It is a push belt. Invented by dutchman Huub van Doorne.

Enjoy.

I believe that some snowmobiles use a type of CVT with centrifugal control of the CVT. This was from a machine I owned back in the '70s. I have no idea if they still use the same system or not.

Cheers :)

Nemt,

Thats right, it's a push belt to transmit power , but the centrifugal system that I sayd it's to change the gear ratio, open and close the pulley.
