Hi all
I'm having a go at making my own toolholders for my AXA style toolpost, I've cut away the centre section of the dovetail but now need to do the angled bit. Had a look around and the consesus is to take the cutting of these easy but as I'm relatively new to this what sort of depth of cut would be considered 'easy' The toolholder is an unknown steel (suspect it's just a general engineering grade EN 10025 HRS) and I'll be using my Elliot Omnimill (sort of like an 8x36) the cutter is 1" and unbranded but came from Tracy tools who normally supply good quality kit.
Any other tips also appreciated
Cheers
Jim
