Where can you find this type of paint?

Thanks for the tip, Ill check out the Auto stores tomorrow.

Not really a wrinkle paint but Rustoleum Texture Paint is almost an exact duplicate of the textured finish on Starrett mics.

Krylon makes a wrinkle paint available at Auto Zone

I have used the Rustoleum version on several occasions with good results. One thing to experiment with first though is the orientation of the surface being painted. I found the "hammered" finish of the Rustoleum to work far better on a horizontal surface rather than on a vertical edge for example. The same could be true for wrinkled finished.

Look for the name "Hammertone".

Also, if you search the net, various people have made paint wrinkle either by hitting it with a heat gun or a little lacquer over the enamel. You'd have to experiment with those to get the right effect.

Best,
