My next project will be a coax indicator. I have a plan and all but a few of the materials.
Most of them on the market are made so that the whole body moves up and down and the indicator is basically upside down. Mine will have the body fixed in the z axis but free to turn on the shaft. The thrust plate will have a press fit hardened washer and the lobes of the toggle will be made of hardened tool steel disks. Kind of hard to describe, easier to show. I got the idea from these videos.

I will also try and film the build. When I get a solidworks model done I'll start a YouTube series.
 
Looking forward to seeing more of this. The design is interesting that is for sure.
