TY entropy, About ten years ago I recall seeing a commercial on TV regarding how a 2 stroke was greater than 4. The commercial was pulled for reasons I am not aware. Part of the commercial was 2>4. Does anyone know the name of the corp?

I'm going way out on a limb here but I remember when Honda outboard motors were introduced. They were one of the first 4 stroke outboards around. Supposedly, marine environments weren't too kind to having captive oil in crankcases so one (or more) of the 2 stroke manufacturers were pushing the 2 stroke advantage in an outboard. Could have been Mercury or Evinrude/Johnson?

Have you ever seen the ETEC (2-stroke) versus Mercury (4-stroke) tug of war video that Evinrude put together?

They did one a few years ago versus Yamaha as well. They used to hand out DVD's of the videos at the Evinrude dealerships.
