Rick,

I have never even heard of the website, but I do approve if it shows our small efforts to a worldwide audience.

Maybe it will light a spark in someone's mind to have a go, and we all know what happens after that.

"Make" is an interesting magazine (plus web site and so on). It tends to cater more towards the DIY inventor / bodger side than actual model-making, but usually has a little of everything. Often the projects are electronic or electro-mechanical in nature-- last month had a chicken house the inventor had fitted out with automatic doors and internet control so he'd get a Twitter message or SMS whenever the chickens arrived home in the evening.

John,

My hat (if I wore one) is off to all of you folks who take the time to post helpful and informative stuff to YouTube. Thank you.

I used to hate YT when about all you found was some retarded drek. Now that it's gotten so big the content is astounding. I lost a couple hours last night watching bit sharpening and other machinery videos.

Time to look at some more machine porn on YT....

:)

Also, I found out the other day, when I visited Stew, that one of my articles I did over on Madmodder about the refurbishment of a Marcher model boat steam engine has been been turned into a series of articles in Model Engineer by the person I did the work for.

It is rather a shock when you see all your piccies and text in a worldwide magazine, especially when you had forgotten, some time in the distant past, that you had given the chappie permission to use it all if he wanted to.
