Hi everyone,

I have been on here about a year and have learned a lot from all of you great members. I started this hobby for something to do when I retire and found it is addictive to say the least. I have built 2 working steam engines and am currently working on a Hit-Miss. I have the crankshaft mounted in the bearings and have 1 flywheel about done. What is the best way to balance the whole rotating assembly?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Jim

Try to get a copy of a book by edgar t westbury called model petrol engines, there is a chapter in there dealing with balancing
It has lots of good info on petrol engines, if you struggle to get a copy let mr know and I may be able to scan the pages to you
Regards
Dougie
