Has anone built a mill table that you could adjust for height? A friend just bought a combo mill and lathe and the only way you can raise the mill table height is with a riser block, this the older model.
The best alternative is to remove the combo vice/compound and use a larger vice than the one provided. Don't go too big, a 4" one worked on my Smithy 1220 but I think a 3" one may have been a better size.
