    Harbor freight mini lathe help!

I took the lathe apart, and found the hi/lo gear in pieces. It was a little tricky getting it apart, but I ordered the new gear today, and hopefully I will be able to get it back together in a week or so. Mike

    Harbor freight mini lathe help!

My harbor freight mini lathe spindle suddenly turns free as the motor is running. I took of the end panel and no gears appear broken. How do you get to the spindle that holds the chuck? I think a pin might have sheared off. Thanks! Mike

Feed screw on harbor freight mini lathe

Thanks for all the advice. I took the lead screw off, and sprayed the bearings with wd-40. I then wiped it dry, and put some high speed oil on the bearings. After working a while, I was able to make it turn properly. I guess I wasn't getting enough oil on the bearings.
