    Got my Bridgeport home

I have that type quick change spindle on my Hurco cnc mill....mine is the 200 series Quick change...It sometimes happens that swarf gets into it , wont allow a toolholder to draw-in but I blow out the chips and it then works right again....Uhmmmm, have to keep a nylon hammer handy to rap on it...

    Boring Head - Sketchup Drawing

If you can heat treat the parts and grind them to perfect precision then it makes good sense to build your own....But if you are capable of the work then more likely you already have boring heads in several sizes.....I can , I do. ;D

Building a base for a light milling machine

I have floor model kneemill that I set up on 10 inch riser..And I have another mill thats on 4 a inch steel skid and I will set it also on 10 inch skid soon as weather cools enough that I can do the welding comfortably.......My idea of fitting operator to mill is to set the mill high yet at a...

    18 TPI threads go fast!

That is very clever setup.. The iron workpiece can bite into the aluminum helping to hold it all together .Wouldnt be my everyday tactic but I'll keep it in mind for special circumstances....A clumbsy newbie might be able to bump the workpiece loose, a hardened machinist shouldnt have any trouble .

    spin indexer

I have a spin indexer, think it was 38 bucks..So its sure worth that much..But I rather use it just for rough work...that because...One time I had a rod of HSS in it and was milling it with carbide making some sort of special reamer and I found that the nose of the indexer can be forced to turn...

    STEEL BOILER

    Simple starting project.

You do real nice work Tel....I despise lost foam casting, too often it dont produce a good casting for me...but in this circumstance that you show , surely you will never need more than that 'zact one follower rest so it dont warrent making a wood pattern.....
