Hi all

Is it possible to have a uniflow compound, where the HP exhaust runs directly into the LP cylinder? (Telescoping or non-telescoping). The answer to this is yes. The Steeple Compound Unaflow design, Skinner Engine Company,1950 is a very late and sophisticated marine engine. I'd glossed this before, but it seems really important to me now, in terms of the history of 'modern' steam engines.
