Go to the scrap yard for your copper. At the merchants 1 mtr of 3" tube NZ$250. At the scrap yard $11-$15 per Kilo (can't find the size/weigt tables but a metre of scrap about NZ$45). Best time to go Friday evening when all the plumbers are cashing up for a few beers with their mates
