One of the first Upshur Vertical engines

Hi Everyone,
I thought I would share some pictures of my Upshur vertical engine. I purchased the kit at the first Cabin Fever Expo from Mr. Upshur. At the time he was selling these as kits. I believe this was the first kit. As you can see,
It has been on hiatus for quite a while as I raised kids, changed jobs, etc. etc. Now that I have a little more time, I may start working on it again! I'm glad to see that there is still a lot of interest in Mr. Upshur's engines. I like that the simple designs are something I may actually complete someday! He has left quite a legacy in the model engine community.

Thanks for the pictures and info. I never knew he sold kits of it. I built mine from Strictly IC plans. Hope as you finish it that you do a build log of it on HMEM. ironman (Ray)

Issue #3 'Model Engine Builder' has the drawings I used to build the Upshure T Head as seen on my avator...oops I put fthis on the wrong thresd!!!!
