Hi All,
My new lathe arrived, only took two months, but for a freebee that my daughter and son in law found for me, I am not complaining
Fitted the scales to the lathe, had to make up a spacer to fit the compound slide scale.
Only have the chuck to clean up and then fit it where my old lathe sits

Cheers
Andrew

For doing precision work, you really need to be able to lock up the cross slide, unfortunately, when fitting scales, the locking screws gets covered up.

I worked out a system to overcome this problem, and it works great.

There is also another problem with these types of lathes, there is nothing to stop things spinning in the tailstock leaving you open to danaging the MT socket.
Here is a fix I came up with that cures the fault permanently and should take about an hour to complete.

Hope this helps

Hi Ghosty, I've had that model lathe for over three years and I love it. I have found it to be very robust and accurate. Have fun! Cheers, Peter.
