I'm wondering has anyone attended the Study of Steam Power Course :

Study of Steam Power Course Announced

Once again the North American Model Engineering Society will be sponsoring the Study of Steam Power Course April 13-16, 2009. The course will be taught by Tom Stockton and provides everything you need to know about steam power whether you are an avid steam modeler, antique steam buff or just interested in learning about all aspects of steam power. Tom covers the basic scientific principles, boilers, engines, valve gears, safety and many other interesting topics. For more information about the course and to reserve your space please call Tom Stockton at (734) 662-2991 or by e-mail [email protected]

I'm curious if it's worth attending ? I think it costs around $100 for the 4 day seminar. I did get the course outline from Tom Stockton a few years ago, but not really sure if it's worth my travel from Los Angeles for that (and to subsequently attend the Expo of course), and hotel/car rental.

I did attend N.A.M.E.S in 2006 and really enjoyed it !

Mike
