Hi Guys,

I have some doubts with relation of the brass and a metal alloy of copper and zinc, last this, in it's composition may have from 3 to 45%... What's the name of this metal ?

Here in Brazil we call "latão" and brass of "bronze"!

I believe it can be because of the translation. I saw other examples of names, as red brass...

Someone can help me?

Thank you,

Alexandre

Alexandre, brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin.
There are also small percentages of other metals in both, and a lot of different kinds of brass, as well as bronze.
I'm not sure if that answers your question.
