Almost a year ago I came across an e-bay source of 3-C hex collets. In my experience hard to find. They were a bit pricey at $150 for a set of seven .A bargain compared to the Hardinge price of IIRC $45 each but still high for the home shop . Shortly after this discovery I had to change jobs. Needless to say the purchase was tabled. About a week ago i discovered another E-bay seller offering them for one third the price so I picked up a set along with a 3-C collet holding jig for the mill.
Initial impression the collets have a decent fit and finish and look like they will work quite well. The holder is a bit larger than I expected. It is sized more fore a Bridgeport than a mini mill. I see it as my fault for not asking more questions. Next on my wish list possibly square collets of maybe a 64ths set. Seems like there are always tools on the wish list.
