I need a small electric motor such as the type use on old sewing machines. It's going to be used for the drill press I'm building. I dosen't need much power. I also need a small drill chuck.
Thanks
Wes
I have plans for a small drill press that uses endless rubber belts. Unforently, the plans are about 50 years old. What could I use instead?
The plans are available at vintageprojects.com under precicion drill press.
Thanks

Does anyone know of a site to get FREE plans for a shaper or vertical mill? The more I look at the price of a knew one, the more my wallet hurts. Building one might be cheaper, and I could customize the plans to fit my needs.
Thanks,
Wes
I was at a model engine show over the weekend were a man had a IC engine which worked as a ocelating steam engine. It had glow plug ignition, a 1" bore, and 1" stoke. I wish I could post a picture, but didn't have a camera. Has any one heard of, have plans for, or build a engine like this...
I saw an air powered, Hit and miss govered steam engine at a resent show. The man had built it of the top of his head. I was wondering if any one had any plans along the same lines.
Thanks,
Wes
Any electric motor will work as a generator, big or small. It's as simple as that I'm hooking up one of my engines to a small motor salvaged from a printer. Will try to post pictures when done.

Anyone have a milling attachment that will fit a 7-inch Atlas lathe? looked for one on ebay and Craig's list, but with a lathe this old, I couldn't find anything.
Thanks,

I'm looking for some IC engine plans that require no castings. I'm in the middle of building a foundery but have no experience in casting. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
