    Trying Brians radial

My "Tiny Four Stroke" build is on hold due to a design flaw, so I figured I would give Brian's radial a shot. The plans are very well layed out (thanks Brian) and the build doesn't look too difficult. Here is my start, I don't think I will take a bunch of pics because Brian documented his build...

    Score!

My dad called me and asked me if I wanted some peg board, I said sure. He brought me a stack that made his pickup truck squat. He said a friend was throwing it out and he didnt know where it came from. It had a partial design on each piece, so naturally I had to sort it out. After an hour I had...

    Hack saw blade

I know this sounds a little off, but I dulled my last hacksaw blade today, so I looked through some old tool boxes and found one. The blade has like 20tpi at the front and progressively ends up at like 10 tpi at the back (I didn't count them) This blade cut stainless like it was plastic, My...

    gouging stainless

Im not sure if Im in the right spot, but here goes. I was cutting 304 down to make a 1" dia fly cutter on a 7 x 12 lathe. I bumped the carriage and gouged the 304, broke the tool bit, and now I cant get rid of the chatter. I took the carriage off and re-alligned the jibs and still bad chatter. I...

    quick part

Dont you hate it when you think up a part, build it, then it turnes out really well and you should have taken pics to show your build. I took an exploded view of course after I finished. by the way its a safety valve for a boiler if you were wondering.

    Lost part

Im not sure if this fits in, but here goes. I know that most people here are technical and organized especially with their current build. A key thing im sure they do is keep up with their parts. I made a spark plug .5 inch long .22 dia. (pretty small for me) it took a while to build with milling...

    tiny four cycle

Well here goes, I have been working on this one for a couple of weeks now, I wasn't sure if I shold post one of my builds after seeing some of the high quality machine work as I have seen here. It is simple, I got bored at work and started designing a small overhead valve single. I have been...

    Coil

Does anyone know of plans for a hand wound coil for a small engine. I found one from browsing around one day, now I cant remember where it was. I am working on a small 4 stroke with a custom plug (and yes I am documenting it for a series post) It was pretty much a hand wound transformer. thanx -B-

this wasnt too bad, just not paying attention I test fit a sleeve I just got done turning, I made it tight so I had to press it in and out. In went ok, I was talking on the phone, pressing it out, I got it off center from the base, broke the edge, now its a template.
