Naval gun progress

Hi All
The naval gun is all but finished with the elevator and training
mechanisms fitted.
All that is left to be done is to fit a couple of telescopic sights
and she is off to the display cabinet.

Very impressive. How did you manage to cut the recesses in the internal thread of the breech block?

Hi
The internal thread is a separate piece which is pressed into the barrel, there is a picture of this piece being broached in the mill in a post on the 24/11/2015.
