[Tin Falcon]

Well folks, it is once again Sept 10. That means that tomorrow is Sept 11, the 9th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Within a few hours, I found myself on active duty with the Air National Guard - for over a year. Seems like yesterday.

I am reminded daily of that day as I drive by two memorials to those events.

The first one is a privately commissioned sculpture, done by a local woodcarver (Mr. Ackly owns the local saw mill.). It is right next to the highway in front of a valve supply business.

The second is in an out of the way park and publicly funded, sculpted out of stainless steel.

So put on your 'Let's Roll!' tee shirt and set aside a moment of silence or time of prayer and remember the day.

To you and all of the others who serve our country a heart felt thank you.

To those of you who lost someone on that day my heart bleeds for you.

We must never forget and never relinquish any of our God given rights to those who wish to destroy our country and way of life.
