Has anyone ever used Acetone for fuel in a 4-stroke gas engine. Your comments and tip are welcome. Thanks in advance.

as a fuel additive probably . As a fuel not a good idea. Fuel companies spend lots of money coming up with the best blends
IMHO if acetone was a good motor fuel on its own we would be using it . we are not.

I was reading a thread on another forum and the guy was making his own fuel from garden scraps and what not, his biggest problem was not being able to get the acetone out of his mix and it was eating all his rubber components (hoses o"rings)

Thanks for all the info. Will not use Acetone under any conditions as a fuel. This group again has saved me from disaster.
