The Moriya Story -- short form !

I built the Moriya fan about 10 years ago. It has never run for over 20 minutes. I have recently purchased the Moriya 2 book. I hope to improve performance of the engine. Any ideas??

    Robinson Patent Hot Air Engine

I made this engine last winter. I had a lot of trouble with air leaks but when I got that sorted out it took off. It would not run for long as the water boiled away quite quickly. I added a cooling tank that operates on the thermo-siphon principle.

    Robinson Hot Aire engine running

Good idea about pressurizing to find leaks. I'll try that when it stops performing. TJ

    Robinson Hot Aire engine running

I have just finished making a Robinson hot aire engine from castings I bought from Polly Model Engineering in the UK. It was touch an go trying to get it running. Mostly from air leaks I could not find easily. It runs very nice now. Attached is a recent photo. The thermo siphon tank is 4" x 4"...

    British Association (BA) taps

The taps I need are to make the Robinson hot air engine casting kit from Polly Models in the UK. The sizes I need are BA4, BA6, BA8, and BA10. I'd be most happy if you could take a look at yours and let me know what you have and the price. Thanks TJ

    Lotsa free engine plans

I'm still confused. The stirling I'm looking at is near the top of the website referenced in the original post. I've printed the plans and it is definitely a stirling. We must all be confused!

    Lotsa free engine plans

Blogwitch, I just re-checked and it is a stirling. It is listed under stirling and hot air engines on the website. Have a re-look. Tom
