    To speed up the gib flatening process, just put some 320 then 600 then 2000 grit wet/dry sand paper on something that is known to be flat and squirt some wd-40 on the paper and take your gib faces to it until you get the same look you have in the picture, then clean it up and install, done...     Print screen button on your keyboard is great, then just open your favorite program (paint,gimp,inkscape) and hit ctrl+v, then save as... Save as whatever that software let's you, you can also scale it at this point before you save to your file, then import like your talking.

    As for the eBay ones.... Follow my thread on cnczone... You will soon find out the eBay ones are junk. You get a free lighted switch too! As for the adapter, yes any dc adapter will work from 9-18vdc, but the voltage would change the brightness, the amperage of the adapter will more than likely...

    I do the same, it works very well for mini lathe/mill.
