My mill motor cooked. Anyone know where I can get a replacement for a reasonable price?

I have to cut a slot in the end of a 6061 aluminum rod 1 1/2" diameter. Centered on diameter. The cut must be .250 wide, by 1.25 deep. I would do this on my mill. Stock locked in horizontal position. I intend to do this with a .25 slotting saw. Any tips on how to do this?

when I open up a web page, I have to move the page side to side to read it all the way across the page. can this be fixed? I m using windows X P home edition. thanks in advance for your help... Bill
