    302 V-8 running improvements

That is a cool little engine I always liked SBF, but that sure does seem like an awfull lot of timing advance.

    tattooist seeking knowledge

I agree on the combos. It does a lot of stuff --- okay, but not it does very well. On these cheaper machines a lot of it is your own personal skills to make it do what you want it to do. Some times you have to trick it into submission, some times you have to out smart it without out smarting...

    My modest shop

It is not, and no, it hasn't really gave me problems. I will eventually build an another bench for the lathe, mill and press and bolt them down then.

Whats in your tool box ???

Exactly ;D not quite as big but I have a couple RC tool boxes, couple of machinist tool boxes, a plastic model tool box, a construction jobber box, and a mechanics box in the garage and a store room full of assorted power tools.

    Trying out metric

Who'd ever thunk the US would have something in comon with Libira and Burma, the only other countries in the world who have not converted to the metric system, which is quite annoying here because I mostly try to live in the the metric system, but they have made it very hard. I live in a big...

Some basic X2 mods and first time use

Just cleaning it up and making sure everything is tight helps a lot. I just got an X1 and it was horrible, but nothing was tight enough. I took it apart and cleaned everything, polished the gibs, greased it and put it all back together. It was better, but still had issues. I took the column...

    X1 drawbar?

Are you using the right drawbar. The LMS collets are 3/16 IIRC. The Machine has a metric drawbar. So perhaps by using the inch collet on the metric drawbar it messed up the threads. But I am far from an expert.
