Mine fires 1342, others have theirs firing 1243 , depends on how you cut the cam. I followed the build notes to how I interpreted them and that’s how it turned out, others get a different result. Doesn’t matter really as long as it runs!

    Edgar T Westbury Seal 15cc

When I built my Seal 15cc the block was way too big , over 1/4” too long. I decided on mine to make sure the dipstick boss was in the centre of the block as the dipstick itself sits in between the crankshaft webs, this made the cored cylinder holes offset but they cleaned up fine. I was...

    My first gasoline engine

    My first gasoline engine

Andrew, he states it is glow plug ignition. Doesn’t say though how he is driving the glow plugs re batteries etc, also the fuel Aspen2 is petrol(gasoline) not methanol so maybe something is lost in translation ?

    Edgar T Westbury Seal 15cc

If I remember correctly when i built my Seal 15 cc that the cam jig was an issue because when you moved the pointer to cyl one the pointer covered the centre hole , think that was right….

I did when I first ran my little Seal, but quickly oiled the plugs up so went straight to plain petrol. I also can’t play the movie, anyone else ? Is it because I’m on an iPad? Mark

Opposed twin Onan engine in half scale

I just rebuilt a Fairmont engine for my brother for his two seater Fairmont , the engine was a single cylinder with hopper style cooling and a radiator on the hopper. Unusual engine with poppet style valves in the carb/manifold! Had it running nicely just last Thursday. cheers Mark
