Dumb question of the day: How do you cut the radiused groove in the cylinder port face that accommodates the cylinder, the two being silver-soldered together in constructing a very simple steam engine? Can it be done on a lathe or do you have to have the milling attachment?

I just ordered the 7 X 16 from MicroMark. Within my budget, I think I'll be getting a good machine, and still have some cash for tooling. Anyone else running this lathe? If so, advice would be most appreciated. Plan to order tooling kit (s) from the Little Machine Shop.
