    Gloves: blue nitrile, safe?

It certainly does .... lol That's a pretty good path to follow, but often, we do not allow ourselves time to examine all the possibilities, especially when you have an unruly boss breathing down the back of your neck, telling you to get the job done, or you simply want to get home to the...

    Designing a crank case

If I was going to build something like this then first off I would draw the entire bike in Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks or Alibre (Name has changed to ???). You have some good photos for reference to start with. Getting the dimensions correct would be aided by the building of the 3D model...

What material for QCTP Tool Holders

Try LittleMachineShop, they may have holders for the 0XA. A2Z CNC also may have some, if not it's down to McMaster, Enco and the like. Keep an eye on eBay too. I see sets on there regularly, you may be able to score a few holders on there as well or at least get a lead to a cheap source.

    First post and first engine!

I think you have to enable that in the YouTube settings somewhere. Nice video though, and very nice engine. Love that flywheel :) Now all you have to do is build a 1361 ... lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUVEovGkwnY

What material for QCTP Tool Holders

No other size holder will fit the 0XA toolpost. You need to buy or make your own holders. The holders that came with the toolpost are most likely case hardened. This protects their dimensions and aids in their repeatability. You could use 12L14 steel or 6061 aluminium to make your holders...

    Hoglet carburetor

OS 10 refers to it's size in cubic inches (.10 C.I.) OS refers to the maker, so any two stroke RC engine in that size range will yield a suitable carb. You could probably go up to a .15 size carb without any ill effects. I recall seeing some Thunder Tiger engines in the .12 size range also...

    Clutch---Again!!!

Brian, here is a drawing of a multi-plate type clutch for your application. It's actually a single plate clutch but the rest is based on the multi-plate concept. If you want more details I'd be happy to supply the models etc. for it.

    Clutch---Again!!!

Brian, you don't need to use that many plates in the clutch. One or two is all that is necessary for a clutch of the scale you would need. I'm sure you could simplify it even further without losing it's effectiveness. the main thing to remember is that the friction plate has a much larger...

    Clutch---Again!!!

Brian, I see a number of potential problems with your clutch design. The first one is the limited amount of surface area on the frictional faces of the cones. This would require a good deal of pressure to be placed on those two components in order to get a good drive and that pressure may...

    Rod's Aussie Shed

That's a great looking table compared to the flimsy sheetmetal affair of the original. I can't wait to get me mits on it ... lol

    Rod's Aussie Shed

Damn, it's a shame these holders are BXA, I wont be able to use 'em if one or two went walkabout ... lol
