    Harborfreight 12x36 lathe wireing

cool, that suggests all coils are on contators are ok. 3 volts dc is strange, but looking at wiring diagram this is only for led/bulb lights. What about contactors, line in and line out open and closed? Regards, Andrew

    Harborfreight 12x36 lathe wireing

Ooops, re my previous post...... power on to your lathe when checking voltages of F! & F2, must proof read my posts before I submit them  Regards, Andrew

    Harborfreight 12x36 lathe wireing

Ok, lets get some basics tested, all with power off to your lathe. 1) Check the voltages on outputs of F! & F2 and record what they are. 2) Check continuity of K1, K2 & K3 de-energised (normal position) should be no circuit between inputs & outputs, energised (contactor pushed in) should be a...

Smithers Build of Brian Rupnow's IC Engine

Hi Paul, Yes you are right, it is a bit of overkill but I just wanted them there for the final boring of the bearing bores after the individual parts are roughed out. My idea is 1mm undersize on bores, assemble base, side plates, head & bearing caps then bore the bearing bores. Haven't been on...

Smithers Build of Brian Rupnow's IC Engine

Hi guy, I must apologise for the lack of posts in the last few weeks, in the absence of swarf I have been modelling Brian's engine to ensure what I am thinking will be correct. In a previous post I mentioned I was going to dowel the side plates and cylinder head to the base for alignment, I am...

    Swifty's build of Rupnow engine.

Brian, not making any excuses, I absolutely love the model engineering thing, have done for the last 30 odd years, I cannot believe the quality and perfection obtained in not only this build, but in every build (wish I could post this in every build). Yes, I'm a machinist, early days all manual...
