    Silver solder?

I repaired a speedometer drive last week, consisting of a forged steel gear and a pressed steel ring, using silver solder for the first time. I scrounged a part packet from an Air con engineer that visited my worksite. He uses it for Cu-Cu and Cu-Fe joints, he said the packet had been damp and...

    New Holland Igniter Problem

If these engines use a standard threaded spark plug, you could put a "Colortune" plug in and watch it spark while the motors running, you would also be able to see what the mixture is like.

Auxiliary fine feed for my minilathe

I have used these motor / gearbox combinations on *many* projects. They seem to date back years and are used in many electro-domestics that require a slowly rotating shaft, stuff like washer timers, rotissiere, microwave plare turners1001 uses. The greatest number are made by CROUZET and are...

Horizontal Double acting Twin Self starter

Sorry to butt in, :-[ I do agree with Driver. In my experience copper alloys cut very sweetly with HSS tools, almost to a silk finish. You will find an excess of long bronze chip "springs".
