Most of us that have mill drills know what a pain not having a way to tighten the spindle can be. Here is my version of a spindle lock or rather than a lock, a way of holding the spindle while you tighten or loosen it. You still need to use two hands to tighten the spindle, one on the wrench...

Thanks for all the responses so far. Tin-Good point, $9 would be less than the cost of the dovetail cutter but.....making one would be a good learning experience. mhh-great idea but unfortunately my mill does not have a tilting head. Always nice to know that there is another way to skin the cat.
