Put some crystallized CA in water and see how long it takes to dissolve. You may have glued your lids shut but none of the hard CA was abrading your cornea. If so, you couldn't get that stuff out of your eye too soon and certainly wouldn't voluntarily wait for it to 'dissolve'... I'm telling you...
