    the other way of charging small Oilite bushes is to hold the bush over the inside of your thumb , three quarter fill with oil , than put your other thumb on top of the bush and squeeze, the oil will come out of the bush through all the cavities in the oilite

    as a thought , try a negative top rake on a HSS tool with a bull nose profile , it works on cast iron

    The Dean .Smith& Grace lathes had an attachment at the wrong end where it had 3 equally spaced jacking bolts to steady long shafts and stop them whipping but you kept far away. Any loose clothing is instantly removed

    Hi Shopmate I had 2 Citroen's Both DS 19 s the second one , I changed the wet sleeves and improved the engine from 1900 cc to 2100 cc and also swapped out the gearbox fro a 4 speed to 5 speed . I dont Know where I found the time I also Repaired the hydraulics and recharged the suspension...

    the square dog clutch ,under load is Very difficult to disengage. I have made then with a 1 degree taper to assist with Dis-engagement. on the last one I used, the motive power was 15 Kw and 50 RPM

    I must be getting Old , I worked on flat belt lathes as an apprentice. if you got things right . you throw the lathe on. then shift the leaver into reverse and the 3 meter belt would jump off the top pulley . and then you had a nice long rest until the maintenance crew came to put it back on...
