    Horizontal return tube. Wood or coal fired. Produces 1/2 boiler horse power. It has a 10" shell half of which is exposed heating surface and has eight 3/4" sch 80 seamless pipe and two 1/2" sch 80 seamless pipe for tubes.

    Thanks for the kind words. This is a model of a horizontal return tube steam boiler. The shell is part of the heating surface. The combustion gasses return to the smokebox in the front of the boiler through the firetube. I still have to fabricate a furnace and grates for this boiler.

    My little HRT, 10" sch 40 ERW pipe, A36 plate for tube sheets. A105 couplings and half couplings welded to shell. 200 psi MAWP. Home made hydro pump.
